Default Tow Hooks?

Anyone know where i can bolt up a tow hook in the front? I just got a body kit.... and well quite frankly if the day ever comes.... there's no way they'll be able to fit the chains underneath without tearing off my front bumper.... so i was wondering if anyone successfully mounted tow hooks in the front coming out of the front air damn somewhere? And is still functional of course.

i don't want the ones that come from underneata the bumper.... cuz i'll just scratch the ***** out of it

You have 3 options for this one....

1. Keep a 10mm ratchet in the car. If you ever need a tow, remove the bumper, it only takes 15 minutes. I'm suggesting this because tow hooks or not, your car will not go up a flat bed without ripping that bumper off. I can take my Wald front lip off in about 2 minutes with the Lexus-supplied screwdriver.

2. If you just want the hooks, find yourself a good machine shop and have them weld some on for you because as far as I know there are no bolt-in replacements for the SC. I'm pretty sure you can custom bolt something in if you wanted to. Just takes some creative drilling.

3. Just go up the ramp ***-first.

Well with just me I can remove the stock bumper in 15 minutes. After doing it a couple of times and knowing where to start and what to do, it can be done rather quickly.

Even if it takes him 30 minutes, tow truck drivers take ages to arrive so he has the time.

If he wants to get crazy he can go Dzus fasteners and make a custom quick disconnect system for the front bumper if it's fiberglass.

i've heard of those fasteners... the only thing that would suck is if "other" people found out how easy it is to take off

LOL well a good idea would be a few hidden ones and some under the hood for security.

zus clips are great for race applications, you could remove a body panel with just a twist of a clip. i wouldnt recommend them on a daily driven car. anyone could walk up to your car and unfasten your bumper.
