Default Anybody Have To Experience This?

well anyone in the tri-state area knows we got bombarded with snow.
thursday my car was running fine, everything was ok
then it snowed and i didnt try to start my car until monday..
didn't work so i assumed it was the battery
went back today with my brothers car and tried to jump start but nothing

no turning over, no clicking, so im assuming its not the battery.
lights work fine and strong, radio is loud, wndows work fine..
lights on dash dim when turning key but there is no turning over.

what else can be wrong?

Smack the starter with a hammer a few times while someone is turning the ignition.

no joke this works, but try with a rubber mallet instead of metal hammer

or it can be poor battery terminal connection

when i turned the egnition key, i didn't hear any clicking sounds (from starter)
i am wondering wether the microswitch at the clutch pedal may be stuck in the open position.

i dont suspect it to be the starter because i do not hear any attempt for the starter to engage the flywheel.

is it common for the interlock microswitch pedal to be stuck in the open position or frozen after cold wether. we had exceptionally cold weather the past few days.

until this cold event, there was absolutely NO problem starting the car.
is it easy to bypass the microswitch?

i thoroughly checked battery connections

You should be able to easily check the voltage to the starter...
I believe that will tell u if its getting current... if not then its something else...if so then its your starter...
guys let me know if this makes sense?

You most likely have a dead spot on your started, mind did this for about 3 months till it finally died. All I would do it just keep turning the ignition till it strated, like non-stop. If you got a 5speed just park it on a steep hill and push start it.
