5" pipes what the... have they lost their minds completely...
Just stick with 2.5" piping you can't go wrong. I've got 3" piping on my Soarer turbo and although it's nice to have it's one of the biggest mistakes I've done. Yeah sure it was fun having a loud car but now it just gets to me And my car is pretty low (on a shock/spring set up) and everytime I go over a speedhump it tends to scrape even when slowly going over it (sideways). I'm going to have my exhaust redone again to 2.5" piping and original mufflers.
I think a great source of information would be the supraforums NA forum. I bet you will find more hard evidence and discussions as to which size piping is the best for you.

That supra was featured in SCC, it ran a 9.7sec 1/4mile. He said its fully street legal (I guess this means under 100db). The car was made by WOTM. I think this guy also has a 4" intake!!!
Tommy: There's a place on College Point Blvd, Queens called "Ralph's" or something like that. I hear that they they do really good work. I am planning to go to them as soon as I find some mufflers.
5 in piping...yes the gains from 4 inch piping to 5 are out of this world when you are in need to flow that much. probably 80rwhp gain if you are in the 700-800hp range, just going from 4 - 5 inches!
I have an SC300 and in the future I am looking to go turbo.
Is there any exhaust setup I can go with now that will not totally kill my low wend, but still work for when I go turbo?
I was looking at using the Magnaflow's mufflers and X-pipe, but I am not sure what to go with for high-flow cats, piping size, and possibly a silencer.....any help would be appreciated.

I would like to see proof. There are no gains. The only thing you gain is another inch dragging on a speed bump.
I run a 3.5 inch coming off my 3 inch midpipe, then y'd to dual 3 inch mandrel pipe to dual 3 inch offset mufflers.
