I have a 92 SC400 and TAP sent me a 93 motor. What mods will I have to do to make it work?

 

If they sent you a new, exact same motor, no "mods" will have to be made. If they sent you a for example a 2jz-gte and you have a 2jz-ge, then there are some mods, but I suggest you search, and if you're not even sure what you need, get a pro to help you out.

If its a 2jz-ge from an SC300 then it's just plug and play ;D

 

Since you mentioned that you have a SC400 that would mean you had a 1UZ-FE V8 in your car originally. So if they sent you an engine that looks very similar to your old one and says 1UZ-FE on it your golden. There was no major differences in the 92-95 engines, 96-97 I believe got some computer reprogramming and the 98-00 got VVT-i with some new engine components and new software ect ect... So if it is a 93 engine and you have a 92 you should be able to even do all the work yourself, if you have a decent amount of mechanical skill and the right tools.
