Well, I dynoed my baby yesterday at the JPI Importz Dallas meet. The only mod I have is the dual electric fans. I ended up getting right at 175 rwhp and it looks like 163 tq. I did a search and the only thing I came up with for numbers on a stock sc was 176. I was expecting more with the fans, but I could be low for any number of reasons.
does anyone have any other numbers from when they ran their stock sc300 so I can compare? Let me know the year, mileage, auto/manual, etc.....
Thanks,
Tim
ps- the temperature was between 65 and 70 degrees and there was a mix of 91 and 93 octane gas in the tank. The pulls were done in 4th gear for a 1:1 tranny ratio.
We tried again, this time we got a tach signal, which gave us a torque curve. It still seems a little choppy though and looks as though it cut out at certain points. At least I have an idea. No other sc's had trouble getting a torque curve for their sc's- any suggestion as to why this happened?
Any comments on my chart?? Does it look normal to you guys? I was comparing it to Angels, and mine looked way more jumpy than his. But, taking a closer look, I think it's just the way the graph is laid out b/c I my curve is relative to his at the same rpm.
I got you beat tim, My car is bone stock and i ran two Greedy stickers down my a pillars and pulled 320 rwhp . then added the nawws across the third brake light and pulled 375 on pump gas

Wow, sounds like I need to get some stickers!!
Come on people- give me some feedback or posts some sheets of your own here!
I remember seeing a sheet for one of the guys in Illinois (I think it was quikturbo) after doing a tuneup, but I couldn't find it- anyone know where it is?

I don't remember Chris (quickturbo) putting his car on a dyno before he did the engine swap. I might be wrong. I dynoed my car when it was stock but I don't think I ever posted the sheet. I don't remember what the numbers were.
Originally posted by lexcoupe My baseline run was 185rwhp. That is for a 1992 sc3 5 speed. I had an Injen intake and a axle back exhaust. It has 120k miles @ 93 octane

Since today, that has changed. Now its (check sig)
Grrr.....I'm not seeing why I'm only at 175 then. I figured 175 would be bone stock, then the electric fans would give me 8-12 hp.
Maybe there's something I else I need to address. The spark plugs and wires are only 30k old, cap and rotor was changed about 10k ago.
please not e you have heavier wheels on your car (TT). Those wheels were made for a car pulling more hp. You do understand the rule of unsprung mass, no? Do another run with your factory rims....perhaps the 99 5 spokes. I guaranteee you will see a difference. The tach was prob not hooked up to their machine properly. I pulled a 191whp in my Legend last weekend, so I know it is possible that those wheels are prob the culprit. It is the Type II with 230 hp, the Sc300 is 225hp, rwd - factor in 20% for tranny loss. That puts you in the neighborhood of 180whp. Lose the weight, and try again. Loss should be somewhat less with a m/t
