Default Tips on Buying an SC300?

Here's the scoop guys. I currently own a 1991 Supra with a 1JZ-GTE swap. It runs great, but I just want to drive a newer chassis. So here's what I have in mind, including mods I want to do right away:

- Black 92-94 SC300, with either grey or black leather (I don't know what's available actually)
- 5-speed would be nice, but not essential since I could just swap later
- a running motor would be nice, but also not essential since I'm doing a 1JZ-GTE swap right away (I love this engine)
- later style taillights, headlights, and front bumper
- Philips HIDs... what size are the factory bulbs? I would guess 9006 based on JZA80
- JIC coilovers (what models are available?)
- SQ sound system (I'm bringing over my Eclipse/DLS stuff from my Supra)
- 18" black-faced Work Equips, preferrably 18x9 and 18x10 if I can clear the jza80 brakes and still have a nice lip

What do you guys think? Also what kind of things should I be looking for when I go shopping? Any common problems? All help appreciated.

-Ray

alright, ill chime in on this

the 92-94 did not come with black interior, only grey and tan

also, to upgrade to newer style, you dont need to touch the headlights. look at the sticky at the top of this forum

stock bulb sizes: Lows 9005, Highs 9006

ALright, thats about all I know in this thread

good luck

Is there a glass version of the front headlights? My friend has a 93 whose headlights are faded and yellowish. I'd pay premium not to deal with that.

I think you got those backwards.
The low beams are 9006 and the high beams are 9005

The faded plastic(headlights) can be cleaned easily.
Won't take more than half an hour every couple of months.

I couldn't help but noticing also that your signature says you have Denso plugs and wires. I was under the impression that the 2JZ-GE was direct fire like its twin turbo variant, and therefore doesn't use spark plug wires. Am I incorrect?

92 to 97 has a distributor and spark plug wires. 97.5 to 00 that also comes with VVTi doesn't. This is also true for N/A Supra.
