D, Im glad you came to your senses, the damage you have in my opinion is less than 2K worth of work.

update.........
well it looks like i will be getting the whole car painted with some extras...i'm in the process of deciding which pearl to put in the clearcoat for that added effect ...any suggestions?( i considered din's comment about the gold pearls) ,but i really like that "purple" pearl i was looking at. hey din- how would the purple pearsl look on black onyx?it does looks fantastic on pearl white tho!
The car will recieved 5 coats of black onyx paint and 5 coats of clearcoat..ingredients for a spectacular paintjob i would imagine...work begins next wk on or about tuesday!

D, you got to be careful.. think about it 10 layers of paint near the edge of a masked window, it will soon start peeling out at the molding edge.

pay the extra few bucks to remove the moldings, you will be satisfied in the long run.

Did they give you this option?

not sure how that peral would look.

word of advice, REMOVE ALL MOLDINGS, TAKE OUT ALL THE WINDOWS. do what aliga says, its worth it. the paint job will come out cleaner and it will not chip off aroudn the window edges later on.

Default paint

Hey nextlevel, when my car was painted over I had blue-purple pearl added. Its not noticable unless it under sunlight from certain angles, and the car must be washed.

Default noticeable

Now don't get me wrong, they can make it very noticeable, but I didn't want a chameleon car. My painter only added like 2 drops of the pearl.

Hey hustler, when you got your paint job, did your bodyguy take the whole car down to the metal? (sandblast all paint off, take windows off, etc etc)? just wondering. Also, when weather/time permits could you post pics of the pearl? I have seen it on Silver, I would like to see it on black!
