Seems more of a BEV version of the Venza/NX rather than an RX equivalent. Will take a look when it becomes available, but it doesn't make me want to rush out and trade my RX450h for it . Specs look fine, and range is probably adequate for my use case at least - most road trips I do will be between spring and fall, so the winter drop off will not be as big a worry for me.
Pricing will be the key, as the NX450h+ is already 80k CAD at the top end. Q4 e-tron (whenever it becomes available) is "only" 75k CAD fully loaded, and comes with an opening pano roof.
It's sobering seeing the new 7 Series mimic the old LS500's Kiriko Glass interior. The LS500 had many pitfalls, but that interior was one of its strongest points and really set the benchmark for what Lexus could do as a brand. The RZ/NX interiors look like they were designed by a different company.

Most likely it was designed by different company because bits and pieces probably come from Toyota original model suppliers to save money. Same suppliers that do RAV4 probably supplied parts for NX. 5LS is a bespoke Lexus and molds and trims are probably not interchangeable with what Camry suppliers can make and supply.
Anyway RZ's interior is super plain, Nothing luxurious about it at all.
Looks like it does 0-60 in 5.4s which is respectable. I like the design...minimalist and clean. I wish it came out with an F-sport performance version with 400hp and 300 miles of range. That would be faster than the RCF
RZ looks awesome!! Only thing disappointing is the range. I'll still consider one for the 70 mile round trip commute I'll have starting in June. Walk through and title signing for the new house this Friday!

Congrats on the house and I agree the RZ looks good.

Totally agree with both of you on exterior and interior styling - this is where Benz has the edge over Lexus and Lexus in turn has the edge over Genesis.
As for the range, RZ better be cheap; I can't see it costing too much more than bZ4X, otherwise consumers won't buy in relatively healthy numbers.

LOL, no way. This is going to cost as much if not more than the Q4 and GV60 just like how the BZ4X already costs more than the ID4 and Ioniq 5.
Toyota and Subaru can both barely produce 7,000 BZ's and Solterra's each for the U.S. market, how would the more exclusive and even lower production version of that same vehicle be able to sell better than that measly amount?
