Default How do I quickly open/close door while still in Drive?

How do people quickly open/close a passenger door while in "Drive" mode? We have noticed a minor annoyance and my search did not find an answer. This has to do with the newer style locking system on Lexus vehicles. Here is our scenario that we are trying to sort out: We back out of the garage and put it in Drive, and realize one of the doors isn't completely closed. While the car is just barely rolling or even stopped, the person in the position of the door tries to quickly open and close. It will not open. Nada. The driver's door will open with a double thumb press, but none of the other doors will. So while in the lane of traffic, you have to stop the car, place it in Park, open and close the door, and then you can put it back in drive. We would have probably noticed the door was open if it wasn't for all the normal beeping that occurs from the parking sensors and the dumb reverse beeping, but we missed it. Other than paying closer attention to the "open door" indicator in the dash, does anyone have any advice on how best to handle this?

Before anyone even states it, we are well aware this is a safety issue and we understand it is not a best practice to open a door on a moving vehicle. The only time this might happen is if we are barely rolling but don't want to come to a full stop and put it in park - normally due to surrounding traffic. I don't know that it would be "safer" to come to a full stop and place the car in park to correct this. I'm not even sure pulling off the side of the road would be safer, and it isn't always possible if there are curbs preventing such a maneuver. This just seems like they were overthinking these new door latches in the name of safety.

Press the unlock switch on the door panel. When the door lock status is "unlocked", the door opener switches should operate if the vehicle speed is less than 2 mph and the driver is applying the brake.

I agree, doors auto-lock when driving is WAY too aggressive in RZ.
I would pull out of the garage, and they are already locked.

You can either:
1). Press the door unlock button to unlock them.
2). Put the car back in Park, which auto-unlocks them.
3). But a coding tool or talk to the dealer about modifying auto-lock settings (TBD for me).

Actually, it's none of OEM's business when I want/need to open my doors.
Tesla is even more abnoxious about it - it will slam the car from Drive/Reverse into Park if you open the door, which you might want to do to grab a water bottle before leaving garage, or get firsthand look at something on the ground before reversing over it.
