Temperature Units
I was remembering making the change on the home Thermostat unit. The A/C is a TRANE with a control unit / thermostat by Honeywell. The Lexus only allowed an Auto setting.
Sorry for my confusion.

I believe if you hold the folder button on your steering wheel for a few seconds, it will bring up a menu where you can change the temperature setting. Either that or hold the toggle switch next to the folder button down for a few seconds. One of those definitely brings up a different menu.

Just picked our 2010 RX 350 that we bought in the U.S. and imported to Canada.
It comes with Nav. Sure would like to adjust the settings to display Celsius, and kilometers. Any one find an answer to this puzzle?

The owners manual is a very large book but I find that many questions asked on this forum could be answered by reading it after picking up the car. The salesperson is supposed to spend at least an hour explaining all the features to each customer on delivery but obviously some are skipping this part of the sales process!
Maybe Lexus of Calgary or Lexus of Edmonton have a way of reprogramming the system, they must be familiar with lots of Albertan's buying in the US and bringing the cars up here.
[ Are you an owner of an American Model? Have you inquired about the 400.00 dealer reprogramming I have seen mentioned on this forum? Lexus Calgary will be my nearest Dealer. As an importer, I am also curious about the reception I will receive getting warranty/service work.[/QUOTE]
I own a Canadian market RX but your question is about one of my major pet peeves about the car. I owned a cheap GM product before this purchase and was able to switch seamlessly between KPH/MPH, temperature, etc even while the car was moving. Lexus electronics are way out of date and all we hear on this forum if we criticize the car is what junk GM, Ford et al are. Maybe Lexus product planners should read the forums once in while and try to improve the product.
I don't know how the Alberta Lexus dealers will treat you but several aquaintances here in southern Ontario have had no problems getting their US market cars serviced. Dealers make more profit on providing good service than selling cars these days so hopefully you will have a positive experience at Lexus of Calgary.
