FCC ID: HYQ14CBP My car was made in Canada. All US 450h+ are made in Japan, and I believe some front wheel drive models. Most everything else is from
Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. Think you are right CBP for key card and FLC for the fob.
Ok thanks for the info. Reason I asked where your RX was made was because on the Lexus parts sites the key insert #69515-12350 says it's compatible with Japanese made NX's (VIN starting with J) and not Canadian made ones (VIN starting with 2). Odd. No idea what that is all about. Also now wondering why your 4 button fob is a HYQ14CBP and mine is a HYQ14FLC. I believe both are 315 MHz but don't know what other difference there might be that could potentially cause an issue as the 8990H-78492 key card is a HYQ14CBP. You did give me your FCC ID from your 4 button fob and not the key card correct?

Were you able to get a key card programed for your HYQ14CFLC FCC ID? If so which part number did you end up purchasing?

Your lucky, my local Lexus, as well as Toyota dealers refused to even try to program it because Lexus doesn't offer it as an option on the RX models.

You might want to look into that again as this appears to be new part # that specifically covers the 2024-2025 RX 350.

Does everything function as it should? Did you also get the key insert and have them cut it?

That's interesting that they now sell it. I have a 2023 and they made like they would be committing a crime if they tried back then. I love using mine even though I had to pay a locksmith a fortune to program it. I guess they got enough people asking for it and since the NX has it, the RX was easy to add.

Sorry to be off topic, but just an interesting prospective.
When I got the credit card for Lexus, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Definitely nerdy.
Recently I got an Uber drive in Tesla model Y, got to talking with the driver and he shared that he programmed a ring to be the key for Tesla.
Obviously, its not a random ring, I believe it has NFC tech built in, he got it off Temu.
He was also able to program it himself within Tesla software in the dash, or at least thats what he told me.
All of a sudden, I don't feel like the coolest kid on the block.
He does not need a wallet, a phone or anything other than the ring to open his tesla and drive it.
Something to think about....

Someone needs to hack the driver attention camera and use a retina scan to start the vehicle. Although gettin gin is an issue...

That's an interesting concept. With the push back I got with them programming a Lexus branded card, they would probably laugh me out of their dealership it I asked them to program a ring from Temu.

Just got back from my local dealer and they programmed my flat key card no problem and also cut the key insert blank and all works fine. Flat key card is part # 8990h-78493 and the key insert is 69515-12350. I paid about $232 for the flat key card and key insert and $180 for the programming and cutting the key blank.

I noticed that the 2026 NX offers a credit card key as a standard feature.

That's not new. I believe the NX got that starting with the 2022 refresh.
