Remote start-Does RX shut off after door is opened?
Any chance they improved the remote start so it doesn't shut off (and don't say it's a safety issue) when you get in the car. Every OTHER car you can get in and it recognizes key fob and take off.
Worst thing is when you go to the trunk first and the car shuts off and you lose all your hot air or cold air while the car is off?
I just took delivery of mine today! I started the engine from in the house using the app on the phone, went out an opened the driver's door and got in. Engine kept running. When I started it, it notified me that it would only run for 10 minutes. Here in AZ, that is enough to get the heat out of the car when leaving someplace to drive home. I assume it would also be enough to defrost and warm the car in an Omaha Winter, but unsure of that.

I have 2 other cars with remote start. One keeps running, but you have to press start with your foot on the brake to move. The other one shuts off. Good luck.

Are these both RXs? That is the question the OP was asking...
NX's starting in 2022 and RX's starting in 2023 do not shut off when the doors are
unlocked as ALL previous Remote Start setups did! The 2023 ES which migrated
to the new Interface connectivity arraignment does however shut off when unlocked.
It would be safe to assume when the next generation of each model debut they will
finally behave as my Chevrolet Impala did... in 2008!

It's not exactly clear what you are saying. I think you are saying the remote start will shut the engine down if you don't come to the car withing 10 minutes. And that once the car is remotely started, once you get in, the engine continues to run and you push the start button to make it fully drivable. (Like my Subaru.) Is that correct?
