Hiddenhitch.com has them for up to 2022. I talked to them a while back and they said several months before they have the 2023 version. I would much prefer the Torklift version in stainless steel.

I guess you have to drill to install it, or are there pre-drilled holes from the factory and you just have to attach to them to install it?

From Torklift:
  • 100 percent bolt-on installation - no drilling required

I would think it should?! I was worried about the rear electric motor would be in the way but its more towards the middle (opposite end of the exhaust)

Hello @Julius071 - I received my Lexus RX350H a few weeks ago and like you have been chasing this hitch availability problem for a while. I am also unimpressed with the Lexus hitch and I quickly started looking for better solutions.

I contacted Torkcental quite a while ago via email and got no response, but I'm glad you have been able to get the fitment ball rolling with them. I have a few questions for you if you would not mind helping a fellow hitch-needer out:

1. Do you know if they plan on making a completely invisible version of the hitch where the receiver tube can also be removed, showing nothing when the hitch is not in use? (more like one of these styles). The description for their hitch for the last generation RX's looks like a fixed receiver model in the photos, but then has a description that says "Our Lexus rx350 trailer hitch receiver also features our Stealth Design which means the receiver can be removed when not in-use to restore your vehicle completely back to its clean “no trailer hitch” look." (Taken from this link) The new link you posted clearly states that the design that is coming for your 5th generation 500H is one with the tube permanently mounted. I am just trying to ask you for what you know before I bother TorkCentral again with questions that may already have answers.

2. If you have a moment, can you please post some photos from under your 500H and I can compare them to my 350H to see if there is a difference that might cause fitment concern? I would love to try to help open the fitment options up for the hitch you have had designed to others with the 350H.

3. Have they given you any further indication of the date they think these things will ship that is more accurate than "Spring 2023"?

I appreciate the work you have done to help the community and look forward to solving this challenge for my car soon.

Thank you! Ryan

Also, forget the "h" for a moment - you would think they want to make this hitch for the regular 350, that's 73% of production. Why don't they show this item being available for the regular 350, that's where the unit sales will come from.

Torklift did the 500 because @Julius071 took his into Torklift for measuring. If someone in the area too a 350/350h in they could measure up as well. You would think there is a dealer in the area who would want to capitalize on this opportunity.

You would think the drilled holes on the frame are the same on the 500 as they are on the 350.

I sure hope so! I might call the local dealer and ask them to check. An SS hitch has been on my bucket list.

to answer your question on the following:
1. I believe this information is generic which could be true or false.
2. Will attach photos on a separate reply on the Thread.
3. They are wanting time with my 500h before memorial weekend. I may reschedule with them to have my 500h on the week of memorial day so that we bring out the 500h for some glamping action on the weekend instead.

I appreciate your comments! I hope we have an hitch for our fifth gen rx soon!

Soon enough i'll hand them my 500h for measurements.
