Just got an email back from them. They need an RX to test fitment. If it was closer I would go. (Well, once my 350H arrives). Looks like apretty skookum build on those things.

I am interested in a tow package also - not to tow, but to mount a bumpstop on. But these third party hitches - the problem is, who installs them?

Any Hitch Shop. Or the dealer. My dealer will install a Lexus hitch for about $1000 USD. That hitch is about 40% of that - the rest is "labour". I'm hoping for a stealth/hidden hitch as I only need it three or four times a year. Plus the hidden hitches DO NOT require a bumper cutout.

Just got off the phone with Torklift. Hopefully they can schedule a time with their engineers and with me bringing in the RX in. They said they should be getting back to me within two months.

So which of their styles are you looking at? The "ecohitch" one, which seems to have a hidden install.

The stainless steel Eco-hitch looks like da bomb! I would much prefer that one over the Draw-tite Hidden Hitch or the Stealth Hitch.

Great information. I have asked representatives at three different local Lexus dealerships and all reply "thy don't know." Not sure I want to work with such-a-person on my next purchase - if they don't know, what else do they not know and will they just be 'winging-it" with me.

Well, they can't tell me when I will get my 350h, so a hitch is small stuff. Seems really odd to me in these days of just-in-time building.

My intention is to be doing some see-north-america mileage and be comfortable in the process. I perceive the additional cooling would be beneficial for the power plant, specially for mountainous roads and deserts. Best wishes receiving your new RX. Looks like Ill be getting in this same line shortly.

Ill be offering my RX500H to Torklift Central for research and development within maximum of two weeks. Hoping to get a trailer hitch designed by mid to end April. I'll keep everyone updated!

That's awesome. DO you know if the platform is the same as the 350h so the same hitch would work?

i am hoping so. Needing to see how the underside looks between the two with the 500h having an additional electric motor in the rear.

Before purchasing my 500 h, I noticed that choosing the 120-volt inverter disables the tow hitch option. Not sure why, maybe due to wiring for the harness?

I'm following this because I have a 23 RX350h and have completely struck out with all the manufacturers. The guys at Torklift / Eco said if we can get them a car to look at, they can design the hitch. It sounds like you're getting yours to them so this seems to be my best hope.
