Drivers eyes closed warning
Anyone else has this warning go off incessantly even though your eyes are clearly open and looking at the steering wheel sensor?
it just started happening last week. Brand new 26 RX 500h. I have to literally move my head forward for it to go away. I’m 6’5” so I easily have eyesight line to the sensor at all times, yet it thinks my eyes are closed. Every few minutes it goes off and if I don’t lean forward it will get real ignorant and loud haha.
I looked it up but nothing works. Thinking I’ll have the dealer look at this Wednesday.
Any thoughts?

It would be less annoying if the car could just listen for snoring by the driver!
+++++++
More seriously, I bet that reinstalling your recognition with either your present glasses or without wearing that thick coat might help. Or just put the seatback more upright...
I need a 'lid-lift' for my eyelashes and I bet that encourages the sensors to nag me.
Oh yeah, another thing is when my wife says "LOOK AT THAT", LOL.

Thanks for the swift reply folks. I’ll check out that video posted by Port, thx.
Or I might just get some mag glasses like KJ mentioned Lolol.
Strange thing is, in my first few weeks of ownership, it never did this. All of a sudden last week, it started doing it. I don’t wear glasses, don’t have contacts and nothing has changed about my face since purchase.

And just last week, I saw a woman in her car, asleep with her head resting upwards at an angle on the headrest. In other words, completely asleep, alone in her car. And the car was in the passing lane to my left and passed me, accelerating. No points for guessing the car's make - yep, starts with a T.

This can't as annoying the 9 beeps to warn you there is something/someone on the back seat when there is nothing there. I can disable the back seat sensor but a family member may want to put an infant car seat back there. I have to open the back door and close it or the alarm sounds off. This is intermittent.
