Hi all, I just got my RX 350h about half a month ago and I'm looking for a good way to install a dash cam with parking mode (not hardwiring with fuse box). I have already read through the popular thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...recommend.html, which is very helpful. But I do still have a few questions and I hope someone could help answer a few of these questions.

1. I see many people installed the OEM dash cam from dealers or by themselves. For those who installed it by themselves, I'm curious if you can get parking mode working. From this video (the only one I can find on Youtube), installing this dash cam is simply getting power from the digital rearview mirror. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If so, could the Dongar power adapter also work for parking mode? https://dongar.tech/products/10pin-type-b-lexus-toyota. I didn't see anyone mentioning the parking mode of the Dongar adapter in the old thread. If it doesn't work, then why? Does it mean we need to get other power sources? Is the dealer-installed dash cam using the digital rearview mirror as a power source?

2. Dongar released a new product Dongar Pro a few months ago and this claims to work well for parking model. I was about to get this one, but then I saw the thread where some people complaining about connection with Viofo https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threa...es.7221/page-8. Does anyone have similar experience? Also curious if Dongar Pro could work, why couldn't we directly connect to the digital rearview mirror?

3. I also come across this thread about Sienna. https://www.siennachat.com/threads/u...st#post-383561. Looks like Sienna is pre-wire for a dash cam. Is that the same for the Lexus model since the dash cam is a configuration option for most models?

I might post too many questions here, but the main idea is to know how to get parking mode working without using fuse box. Any suggestions or help would be truly appreciated!
