hardwiring dash camera for lx
Hi,
anyone here hardwire dash camera to the LX? I have a uniden r7 radar hardwired to the LX mirror as well wasn't sure if I can tap the same wires for the camera too? anyone used the OBD or Fuse tap?
interested to see what everyone else has done

Tapping a dash cam from mirror along with R7 would be fine. Both of them combined would only draw about 1.5A max. On the other hand, I do have Escort Redline 360C detector and ZR5 Laser Shifters installed, I just tap the power off the under dash fuse box (second row from the bottom, the middle one, I believe it is an 20A for A/C).

I used this Snap-N-Go Quick Hardwiring Kit from Amazon. Works quite well. Will keep the camera on for either 5 min after you turn off the car or until the battery gets to a certain level.

I ordered and installed it today works great- thank you.
