Like Dad always said, "Never buy the first model year of anything". We did/are, but I assumed it was more of a refresh, so the litany of issues is a bit puzzling? Long Covid supply chain issues? There sure seem to be a lot of things and yours sound more than cosmetic.
That's always a rule I've followed, but I felt compelled to get a 2023 RX with my 17 year old Volvo in decline and hence my 2013 RX being relegate to second car status. So far so good, but there's no doubt there can be problems.
My cousin spent the weekend here...his new Audi A6 had so many problems they ultimately took it back and gave him a new one....electronics problems, a/c never worked properly, etc.
Fingers crossed here.

Thank you. Lexus has been very good about all this so I remain hopeful. Back in “07 my brand Highlander had an ac problem - dealer replaced compressor and it blew ice cold for the next 200,000 miles. Hoping this will be a similar story.
Wife wanted an Audi last year so I researched them and joined some forums and groups. Lots of issues and super high costs- dealers cutting back on loaner cars and shops taking up to a week to do oil changes.
I found several people online who posted buying new Q5s and I messaged them- half had to retain counsel to get Audi to buy back their cars as they were so unreliable.
Got the wife a ‘22 RX350L- we live that, not a single issue. Love my ‘23 but hoping it settles down with the issues.

Ditto (12 year old Pathfinder). I have to say, all these reports of issues are offputting in a new $65K Lexus.
My 2023 RX350 F-Sport is having repeat issues with check engine light, drive-start-control malfunction, system malfunction and other system safety malfunctions-staring at 3000 miles & 5500 miles. My new car has been in the shop for repair over 16 days since purchasing…without ETA for final repair. Extremely frustrating and quite concerning that this is happening so soon after purchasing and to a brand new vehicle

Reason: Duplication
I have the exact same errors today as the original post. Did the vacuum regulating valve resolve the problem?
How long was it in the shop?
Yes- it was in for 2 weeks. Yes, that solved the problem- I’m at 2100 miles currently. The second round of problems are resolved also- they got the computer in a few weeks early on that one.
Just received a call from the Lexus Service Consultant informing us that our problem is related to a software bug. A new code is scheduled to be released in October. He said they could clear the code and the safety systems may work for awhile but did not recommend driving it until the update. The dealership provided a loaner but it has restrictions. My wife and I need to travel next week but we cannot take the loaner. The dealership did free to reimburse us on a rental car. The dealership is treating us properly but I am disappointed that our Lexus has these issues.
I would think the software issue is on all models. The software bug shuts down the advanced sonar system so adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and all the other safety features associated with stopping and cross traffic detection will not work. Other features get shut down as well.
I have never owned a vehicle that needed a month or longer to fix. I have driven Toyotas for years but this is our first Lexus. Very disappointed.
They said they had two others in the shop with the same error codes.
We took delivery of our F Sport in February and we have a little over 7,000 miles. My wife was driving it when the errors occurred so I do not know if there were any unusual circumstances.
Hi All. Brand new to this forum and to considering a Lexus. I don't buy cars often, but I get the car bug every couple years. Never considered spending enough for a Lexus, but am getting annoyed with road noise, and am thinking maybe I should splurge on a luxury vehicle. (I know, there are ways to reduce road noise on any vehicle, but it's a good excuse to splurge). I've never really been a fan of the look of most Lexuses (Lexi???), but I have to say the 2023 RX has really caught my eye, and from what I can tell, seems to be about the right size. (Unfortunately, I don't have a local dealer, so am trying to do as much research as possible before driving over an hour to the nearest one). I've seen various posts about issues people have had with the 2023, but I'm curious if anyone has a list of relatively common 1st-year issues in the 2023 that they expect to be resolved for the 2024 model???? Thanks in advance.
Various threads on here - we are all waiting for an update to the infotainment software which hopefully has some updates/fixes. Maybe a new version will be available when the 2024 model year cars start appearing. The digital key app isn't held in very high regard.
