You know they spent $$$ on signs along the interstate saying "NEXT REST AREA xxx MILES", right?

That said, I understand...when you pass a rest area, it seems as if you get the urge a mile farther down the road.

The Nav in our European car has the upcoming exits on a split screen...never liked that cluttered display. To each his own.

As you probably know, you can turn it off in the Lexus system either by changing or just eliminating the right side screen.

I know it is no substitute for the old exit list but I do find that when I am traveling and using Android Auto with Google Maps a voice command like "Show me rest stops along my rooute" or "Show me Starbucks along my route" works really nice. The lists even tell you how much time it will add to your route. Used this a lot on a recent PA-FL roundtrip.
