How does the standard sound system sound? As much as I want the ML system, i can't justify spending for the extra add-on for the Premium+ trim just for the ML system.

 

There are several comments on this topic…I will add that I’ve seen Australian reviewers comment that it’s made by Panasonic. It’s a great OEM system.

 

I’ve gotta be honest, I’ve owned 11 Lexi and this is my first with ML. It sounds great, but I honestly can’t hear much/any difference from any of my prior Lexi. I’m not THAT discriminating, so maybe it’s me. Or maybe it’s a tribute to how good the base sound system is!

 

The base system is pretty darn good. It's light years better than the premium JBL system was in my previous RAV 4. It's about equal to the premium Bose system I had in my Infiniti Q50.

Of course, the ML must be better. But the price and scarcity?

 

I normally buy value versions of my cars. Wouldn’t pay for ML. This time I decide to “go for it” and got a Luxury version with most options including ML. It’s a seller’s market so if you want a new car, you have to accept how things are today. All of that being said, this may be my favorite Lexus yet, including many LS Lexi from days of old.

 

Thanks! Good to know. We have an older Prius with JBL and it’s decent. Also, have a Subaru with harman kardon, and I’m sure the Lexus base system will sound much better than the Subaru.

 

Based on a previous recommendation I turned off the “surround sound“ setting…it sounds better.

I just watched a review the 23 rx350 base vs ML system. The ML sounded a bit clearer, but similar. Have to listen it in person to really hear the difference. The reviewer also texted the NX base and ML, and it the difference was night and day.

There seems like there is no bass from my ML. I HAVE EQ bass set to almost max. And the louder i turn it up the lesser the bass. And starts to sound hollow all around
