I'm a musician as well, playing bass (does that count??) Lol!
I'll have to try without the surround sound soon.
What tracks does everyone try to test the system, and in which mode?
It doesn't really matter which system everyone prefers, the RX comes with what it comes with, and the price point that works for them.

For the bass "Something More - Kozoro.", "Petals - Miro"
The EQ is in V form and the F/R is 2 clicks towards rear.
Car acoustics are never going to match a quality headset or HT set up w/ good processors and amps.

I use the following tracks in flac/wav for it's balance in instruments "Haze - Dishwalla", "Know Me - The Band Camino". "Seven Days - Sting", "Charm Attack - Leona Naess".

I do like smooth jazz, I haven't listened to brian culbertson , I'll have to listen more to him.
Steely Dan and Super Tramp are good choices.
I heard Super Tramp live in the 70s, with Chris de Burg as the warm up band.
I hope I get this right, I presently don't have access to our server:
Alex Scolnic Trio; Robbi Robertson Red Road ensemble (the best soundstaging I have in my collection), and the Nylons doing Because.
happy1977, I'll have to check those out, I'm not familiar with those, although I may have the Sting track.

Interesting, I find the stock stereo not as good as my previous 2017 MDX, I have played around with the fader, tremble bass etc. I will try disabling the surround to see if it improves (of course at the end of the day it good still just be me lol) Cheers.

I’m finding the ML sound is improving with time. I think a break in period for the speakers has helped. Still think it needed 4 woofers rather than the 2 they only chose to install.

12 Speaker Premium Sound System
Does anyone have the specs (watts, manufacturer, etc.) for the non-ML sound system? I've heard conflicting information on the manufacturer (Panasonic or Pioneer). Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thank you. I just found a brochure from Lexus Europe and it says that it's a Panasonic. My 2024 RX 350h Premium+ is scheduled to arrive early November. I went to the dealership today and found the base system to be more than adequate. It's been very difficult find a RX350h Premium+, much less with a ML. It seems to get a ML I'd have to go to a Luxury package and those are more than I want to spend.

I would think so; just checked Crutchfield and the 2022 RX350 with ML has numerous options for speaker replacement that are verified fit/compatible. I would guess the 2023 fit guide will be similar once it is published; seems like they run about a model year behind, but that's understandable.

Many more would select the ML radio if it was not tied to the upper trim levels. I have had the ML radio in multiple LX vehicles. It does sound better than the standard but I do not think it is worth what you have to pay to get it. The ML system sounded best in my LX570.

Does anyone know what sound system is installed in 2023 Lexus Rx350/Rx350h if its not Mark Levinson Audio system ?
The brochure only says 12 speaker system. No info in owners manual either.
