slight misunderstanding.. what i meant was i would prefer to get the Xclimate2 as my winters and use them for the 3 odd months for the next few yrs, . when the all seasons wear out in a few years i would then use the Xclimate2 year around.

We took our RX350h, which has 21 inch wheels, for the first complimentary service and while there we asked the service advisor since we plan to buy snow tires and another set of wheels for winter if it was safe to go down to 20 or 19 inch wheels as there are significantly more options in those sizes. After she asked the tech she told us that because of the position of the caliper it was strongly recommender to stay with 21 inch and not to downsize. Not sure if they are just saying that for liability reasons but if that's the case it's very disappointing.

Find a more knowledgeable dealer. Of course you can go down a size. You think the calipers are different on the 20" RX vehicles? The dealer I used to work at if you had 20" they sold customers 18" to save money and get way more selection. Sad when the dealers mess with customers.

Your dealership is full of crap. The stock 19” wheels on the 350h have the exact same calipers located in the same place. F Sport handling and F Sport performance may be different since the have 6 piston calipers.

It amazes me what some dealers will tell their customers. Unbelievable!

The 'donut' spare is 20".

Often,wheel-to-caliper interference can be resolved by use of a wheel spacer. Worth testing before handing over the money....especially on the 500h with its multi-piston front calipers.

BUT remember, this topic is mainly about TIRE size isn't it?

Not sure if this is a stupid question but anyone know if my 18" winters from my old 2020 RX would fit the new 2023 RX hybrid? They've only been used 1 season so trying to reuse them if possible.

They should fit without concern if it fit the previous generation. I just picked up our 2023 350h this weekend and will be testing ours for the same reason. My online research shows no concerns, but I want to check with my own eyes.

That's good to hear because there aren't a lot of great options right now at 19" and 21". Let us know what you find out with your tests, appreciate it!

The wheels are different between RX4 and 2023 RX. Old wheels will not fit due to the new lug bolts instead of old Nuts. Unless you can find lug bolts with flat washer mounting face.

Hmm...I wasn't there yet, that would have been part of my test. Should be a small obstacle but thanks for highlight. When i had the steelies earlier on RX3 I did have to buy different lugs for that reason. My biggest concern was the 18s clearing the brakes.

Separately, I was happy to see no silly lock nut anymore.

BTW, the brake rotors of RX4 were 0.5" smaller than 2023 RX 350h.

Is this standard practice now as I didn’t get wheels locks either

Probably not seeing the lock nuts being forced anymore is availability as it was a money maker for them just like making you pay around $90 for usb cables now. If availability of tires for this car does not materialize soon it could be on the thieves radar and that is where the locks would be useful.

As a follow up: According to websites 18s will still work on this vehicle. I didn't catch that difference in the wheels how they are mounted, very disappointed. Alas my nice winters are going onto Kijiji.
