Appreciate the color for it's uniqueness but would not own one. Would not own a dark color vehicle either but it is about variety is the spice of life. It would be boring if every vehicle was pearl white or atomic silver.
I had 2 similar responses. First one I was in the car with window open waiting for wife to come out of the grocery store and a women walked up and said "wow cool color". The other was a couple admiring it at night in a parking lot with over head lights gleaming on it. As others have stated some people like it and some are not a fan.
I was excited to see the color from reviews and online pictures. I thought it would look closer to a copper bronze shade. In person, it is definitely more a bright copper penny with pink/rose undertones. Not bad, but not the shade I was hoping for.
I agree that the copper crest is a polarizing color, BUT I have received many compliments by complete strangers over the last 2 months of ownership! I love the color-changing quality with sunny vs cloudy day (darker vs lighter color).
I've seen it under various kinds of light but haven't noticed any rose in it.
I once had a 2nd gen Taurus SHO in Opal Frost. It changed colors slightly at different angles and lighting. At night it had some pink undertones. During daylight it was more silver and light blue. Gorgeous color.
There is a new RX at a dealer near me in Copper Crest that has been sitting on the lot for several months now. Probably not a huge market for that color.
