I've searched left and right and need help. How do you remove the back "L" emblem? I ordered a new unit and need to remove the old cracked one. From the look of the new one, there's several large pegs. So do you just pull it off by force or is there a way without risk damaging paint?

Have a 2017 RX 450h and my rear Lexus plastic Lexus logo emblem above the license plate cracked. Has anyone replaced theirs and if so how do you get it off?

 

I think you just need get a blade and push it in between the emblem and the car body, then pry it off. The emblem of my car (2017 RX 350) was once accidentally caught by an edge of the garage door and the emblem got halfway off. I just pushed it back..

 

Hi everyone I 'accidentally' closed the garage door on my car and scratched the emblem and the liftgate trim. I am assuming replacing the emblem should not be difficult but for the life of me can not find the part number for the liftgate trim. I am attaching pictures any help would be appreciated as far as part numbers and removal/replacement procedures.

Mine cracked and I ordered a plastic $5 tool that was listed as body molding removal tool. Don't think I needed it but be careful not to scratch the paint. I just pryed it out. I had the rear sensor on the emblem to open the trunk. The one without the sensor was $60 and the one with was $450. Since I never used the hand over the emblem anyway to open the trunk ordered the less expensive one.

When you removed the emblem with the sensor, did it effect any other sensors on the vehicle? Thank you

 

No other sensors were affected. Like I said I never used the hand gesture anyway. Just was not reliable.
