I noticed that the cargo area isn't lit very well and the yellowish bulbs don't match the overhead bulbs. I want to switch them out for some LEDs. I saw some on the NX forum putting LED light strips, but that seems too much work. Anyone know what size bulbs the ones on the sides of the cargo area and the one on the tailgate are?

 

I wanna switch them out also. Really need to switch those reverse lights to LED, as they are the only exterior lights that's not LED (Have the triple beam). Someone posts a step by step guide or which LED to buy would be nice.

 

If you want to go for the all LED look, you gotta change the door courtesy lights too. Those are also the pitiful yellow halogens. Even though they weren't LED, I put the whitish colored door courtesy lights from my GS onto the RX. The color matches better with the interior lighting.

I'm not sure what to look up for an LED to replace the bulb. The info you posted doesn't give much info about the bulb.

 

My door courtesy lights are white LEDs (luxury package), if you read carefully on the pic i posted, it has *2 right next to door courtesy lights. *2=vehicles without door trim ornament lights.

 

Ah I see. I wonder if they really are LED or did they do the same as the GS where it's a bluish tint halogen bulb.

 

I'm thinking of just getting some sort of LED light where i can push a button and i get light.. I'm too lazy to hardwire anything....

 

I guess I'm the only one complaining about how dim the cargo area is despite having two lights in the cargo area and one on the lift gate.

I have some LED bulbs coming in tomorrow so I'll post some pictures once I get them in. Ridiculous how the whole car is fitted with white LED and the trunk just became an afterthought. Poor job Lexus...

Yea, I got the Philips XtremeVision 360 LED T10 bulbs. They come with a 12 year warranty and the ones I had on my GS never failed. I'll post pictures of everything and do a how to guide when I get them in! Currently on vacation in New Orleans lol

 

Now they are bright😄
