That's my trim remover tool. You can just use flat screwdriver and when you use flat screwdriver I highly recommend put some thin fabric on flat screwdriver to protect your car trim😊

You can buy the trim removal kit from Amazon. Very cheap for a set. I bought a kit awhile ago and have found it very useful.

Try a flexible plastic card, like a store discount card. It's a good way to displace pressure when releasing tabs and some thin enough to fit in those tight spots. Less chance of scratching too. I used one to remove just about all the interior lights in my '10 450h. I have trim tools too but the plastic card worked much better.

Default Cargo lights

Maybe someone could help me answer this question? Does the lighting for
the 2016 RX require CANBUS type LEDS like certain European models. Or
could I use non canbus type leds for replacements.

This would help me decide which type of LED to buy. Thanks

Halogen oem yellow lights

Jdm astar from amazon $5 each. Need to buy an extra one for the hatch door light. Only got 2 leds.

An old credit card inserted on the opposite side from the light button will do. Extremely easy, soft, no marks.

Thank you for the info. I've replaced mine yesterday and it looks nicer and a lot brighter.

I wasn't able to put the original gray plastic cover over the LED light. I guess since the LED doesn't have much heat, it should be ok.

Time to figure out how to replace those door lights.

Just changed the door lights using the blue hue bulbs that came with my GS. They seem to match the interior lights more...which makes me wonder if the interior lights really are LED.

They are indeed LED. I took the pic for the door lights. As you can see the cover is different, and i can clearly see the 2 light dots.
By the way, anyone knows how to change the vanity lights? I can't figure out how to take the cover off....

Cargo side LEDs and Hatch Led with two Courtesy visor in a pitch black garage with the two OEM roof lights OFF. All 6000K color white LEDs BUT the OEM roof lights look more yellowish. Look at next picture to see diference between 5 white 6000K LEDs vs 2 yellowish OEM roof 4000K LEDs.
