Default Tail light difference in 2022 models

I am in the market for a new RX and have noticed two different looking tail lights on brand new models... Anyone know which packages include the lights in the first image below? The second image seems to be the more common of the lights and also, of course, cost less in most cases. The guy at the dealer was sure that there was no difference between the two and I was like... It is such a huge difference are you kidding me! Thanks lol

I believe the 1st image is what the rear looks like with the triple beam headlight option

jer is right. We have a loaded (including the overpriced Luxury Package) 2020 RX350 with the triple beam headlights and the taillights look like the ones in the first (top) picture.

Upper photo is a vehicle with LED light, lower without, so it depends on the pkg you get.

If you look at the online configurator for a 2022 RX350 you will see that in the description of the triple beam headlights it states that "LED taillights" are included. As I said earlier, if you want the "LED taillights" you need to get the triple beam headlights, they are part of the package.

My 2022 RX350 F rear lights look like the bottom photo. One of the first things I did was to ditch the incandescent back up light bulbs for aftermarket LEDs. Boom!

In case you are curious about doing a swap, somebody else on this forum has successfully managed to do just that! There's a whole thread related to this topic.

The 2022 rear taillights are not LED unless you get Luxury or lighting package? I’ve never looked at ours turned on, but that comes as a surprise to me. Can I sue Lexus for this? Just kidding, a little forum humor. But I really did not know that.

By non-LED we mean the backup and turn signals are not LEDs. The brake and normal running lights are LEDs. Halogen backup lights just look so bad on this good looking of a car, what a shame. They were the first ones that I switched out. Since then have also switched out the turn signals to be LEDs as well

I did this conversion too! Very easy. Much easier than converting the cargo area lights to LED.

Thanks for clarifying. I’m surprised the turn signals are not because that is one of the most important things you want people behind you to see. Backup lights are not much of an issue because you are never going more than about one mph, but it’s still an oddity.

Just out of curiosity, but why should we care? I know some folks worry about this out of privacy concerns, but my plates are visible every time I back out of the garage. I’m just not sure why I should be concerned if my plates are displayed in an online environment. Not trying to start a debate or pick a fight, just curious.
