2016 Engine Rattle while at idle on passenger side of engine.... Can't hear from inside of the car only the outside.

You don't mean the typical injector tick that makes some folks worry?

OP, With the limited information we have and without the ability to hear your noise, we're just guessing. Does the sound change with flucuating engine RPM's? Does it make the same noise when the engine is cold and hot?

Just a rattle that does not change with change in engine rpm. Some component or accessory might be loose and close to something else. It could be 100 different things. Take a long screw driver and lightly press on parts of the engine while it is idling. Please stay away from moving parts. See if you can isolate it.

 

Have you had any services done recently that require being under the hood or under the front part of your RX?
We're just shooting in the dark with guessing here with the info you provided.

 

Sounds like the vacuum pump. Search the forum and compare the sound. I believe their was a thread last year with sound clip.
