I have the USB cable connected to the phone and the Lexue, but under source the USB is dimmed.
Why?
Android doesn't work in the same way an iPhone would. Plugging an Android into the car's USB port (even the data port) only gets you charging. Unless you have Android Auto, which going by your post, I'm assuming you don't.
Thanks for responding. I use the two USB ports under the console cover. I was not aware that there are charging ports, and data ports. What are these two.
I have a 2016 450rh. I saw on the web abut Android Auto. Why is it not on the car?

I don't know if the 2016 and 2020 have the same USB setup. On my 2020, the two USB ports in the storage area in front of the shifter are power-only; they have no data connectivity to the infotainment system. The two ports under the center console cover, behind the shifter, provide both power and data connections. Your owner's manual will describe the port setup on your 2016 RX.
Android Auto (and CarPlay) was a feature added to the RX in the 2020 model year. As you probably already know, you can still use your Android phone as an audio device via Bluetooth without having AA, including making and receiving calls. There are third-party options available for adding Android Auto (and CarPlay), and there is a separate thread on the topic.
