So I took a chance and installed the uhaul hitch for our 2020 RX350 base and the hitch is way to close to the bumper. I'm not going to cut the bumper or trim it so now not sure I want to keep the hitch. You can see how the hitch just rub and put the bumper up for the 2020 lower bumper trim and not sure there is a oem motified piece Lexus offers for this. Since my Lexus will not ever tow and trailer I'm thinking using steel spacers to lower the hitch a little so at least not rubbing against the bumper.
hey all, i came to this party too, trying to get a hitch for our 2020 RX350 Expedition package (though I don't think the package changes and trim issues that you are talking about).
I had wrongly assumed anything fitting the 2019 would fit my 2020, and after ordering a Draw-Tite Class 3/4 Hitch - 75540 from HitchWeb, and realized my error now...
so for BlueShirts above, did you order the Curt Class 3 Hitch - #13272 and it rubbed like that?
Has anyone tried towing with that, and not cutting out the trim to make room for it? I'm on a lease, and don't want to go down the road of cutting it and regretting it later, so wondering if I can just tow with it and keep the rubbing and hope for the best?
I don't want to add washers or a plate insert for spacing, not gonna risk messing with the safety of it
I'm buying a small pop up trailer in a couple weeks and need something to tow it with, so any fast help would be greatly appreciated!
p.s. Called Curt asking about it, and the answer was "gonna be a while yet" for one fitted specifically for the 2020
