depends on whether they were referring to MY21 vs launching the specs in Calendar year 2021

They will not announce the next generation next calendar year. The current mid model refresh has barely been on the market for less the half a year.

If you intend to buy a redesigned model Lexus RX, you`ll be waiting a while.

Thanks for the input. I was trying to figure out how long I wanted to lease a car. I do not want this version of the RX, but am very interested in buying the next generation.

Do you think a 3 year lease will due?

While i congratulate you on the long game, I think in 3 years the auto industry landscape will be vastly different. I would think a 3 year lease would be fine, however dont expect any great leases on the first MY for the next gen RX when your current 3 year lease expires.

To answer your question in short, yup I think you`d do okay if your only target is to time the next gen release.

coolsaber,

Thanks, I will buy the next generation RXL not lease. The cars I like right now have old technology or are German cars which are not reliable and cost way to much to maintain. I am really looking forward to the next generation RXL.

I would guess the RXL will have a major redesign same time as the RX which is likely 2022 or 2023.
