How did your issues start? Did it happen after a battery replacement?

 

I was driving it normally on the highway. Hadn't changed out the battery. I did have an iPhone connected to the USB I believe from time to time, I read reports that iPhone can also cause the unit to wig out. Based on how many people have had issues with this generation of unit that they had to create a TSB it's like the tech is just a PoS.

 

Since the repair included a 1 year warranty. I've been requested to send back the headunit, the control dial and the amp. I can remove the head unit and control dial easily, I am not sure where the amp is or how to remove it. It doesn't appear to be under the rear storage panel.

 

It's under this. Still need to remove all the trims same as when you remove the head unit.

 

The only remedy is to replace the unit.
The primary cause might be current spike will replacing battery.
Lexus computer and electronic are very sensitive to current spike.

If your vehicle is out of warranty, you can add necessary nannies to prevent further occurance.

 

Is it behind the lower metal plating below the then? I removed the plastic cover and see this

 

Yes, the whole console box assembly.

 

Isn't the amp for Mark Levinson systems, found in the cargo area. Under the cargo mat, behind the spare tire?

 

If that is the case I am not seeing it. Unless it's underneath behind the tools and jack panel?

 

I have the exact issue as you with the radio not working. I have the M&L system. My usb ports don’t work either. Can the update even be installed if the screen isn’t working?

 

How did your issues start?

 

I didn’t drive it for 1.5 weeks and it just never loaded and hasn’t ever since. This was back in October 2024

 

The update cannot be installed if it's not working, you would have to send it to Original car Audio in Minnesota for repair.

What connection/plug and fuse controls the climate buttons? Currently everything seems working on my unit after repair expect the climate controls sometimes don't function at all when I started the vehicle, as if they are getting no power. I can still change the climate settings via the digital HUD settings though.

 

Im about to send it to original car audio in MN. Have you resolved your issue yet?
