@tammap Thank you, but unfortunately it appears already have A1#5570 yet am still experiencing the issue. . I guess I could try contacting Lexus. It's currently working and wonked out since the last time, but it would be good to try an diagnose why it's occasionally goes into a reset loops while driving and it takes shutting off the vehicle for 5 or so minutes to restore it.
@tammap right, thank you. Can I just do this myself,? I have a USB stick but on the Lexus page is tells me an update is not available for my 2017 Lexus RX 450H, but there is one available for 2016 Lexus RX 450h... where it says "A software update is now available for Navigation Infotainment systems that match model ID 15LWENNA-AB01. " so based on what I have wouldn't this update still be valid for my 2017? No clue why it says "no update available" for 2017 when I search here https://www.lexus.com/firmware-updates# ... same if I use my VIN number or face plate code #
The file it let me download for the 2016 15LWENNA-AB01 was 15LWENNA-AB01_0003.kwi which I guess is for an 8"
Put it on a USB 2.0 2-8gb ... vehicle recognizes there is USB plugged in, but the update option is greyed out. I can't find a 15LWENNA-AB01_0006.kwi which is apparently what I need.... This is frustrating as all hell that it says there is no update available for my year, make and model... also says there is no update for my VIN number of faceplate number ... yet clearly there is if need to update to A1##8020 to fix this issue.
Anyone know how/where to find 15LWENNA-AB01_0006.kwi .. the PDF links do not work.
Would there be any file server or does anyone have or know where I can find 15LWENNA-AB01_0006.kwi ?
I would like to try to update it before sending it off again for repair.... or would I have to contact Lexus directly? Lexus Canada seems to have no idea.
Kulharin, did you ever find a solution? My 2019 RX450h just had a similar screen issue this past Tuesday where the screen went completely blank, or might have the right 1/3 show the radio info, or maybe show some bits on the left 2/3. The radio was still playing but could not adjust volume. Took it to the dealer today for an already-scheduled oil change and showed them the video of the screen's issues. They indicated there was a software update and they would update it "as a courtesy", which kind of ticked me off since it's still under the L-Certified warranty thru Sept 2025 (plus I have another five years of Lexus warranty beyond that). This kind of electronic issue sure concerns me about what else could go wrong next, since they are hard to pinpoint. Luckily the video was my proof in case they could not replicate the issue. The drive home had the screen working as expected but will report back should there be another hiccup.

Still no solution, it's been one headache after another with the piece of *****. I was never able to find the update online. Lexus Canada has been useless and my local dealer sucks. I had to call another dealership to confirm that the update even exists, they said they'd install it for a price.
I've sent the unit off for repairs twice to OEM Car Audio. The first time I sent the unit it was completely bricked/dead . They fixed it and sent it back to me quite quickly, but after two weeks the system would start rebooting constantly after 15-30 minutes of driving and wouldn't stop unless I shut the vehicle of for a half hour. I sent it back since the repair included 6 month warranty and apparently the processor was overheating, so they installed a new processor. Again I got back with an entirely new problem. Now it seems to work perfectly fine, but every 10 (average) times I start the vehicle, the nav/audio unit just doesn't boot up, displays the Lexus logo, then black screen with no audio... all the dash board buttons still work for climate. If I reset by disconnecting the battery, then next time I start the car it'll be fine again after display the message "the system is restarting, please don't shut off the vehicle" then it's good for another 10 or so vehicle starts. Might send it back for a 3rd time.
Last time I took it to the dealership they charged my $500 to do nothing and said I'd need a new unit for $5000. Given my experience with this ***** piece of tech is, no 3rd aftermarket alternative, and how useless my dealership and Lexus Canada have been through this ordeal, my next vehicle certainly will not be a Lexus. The only positive has been OEM Car Audio, but sadly it's still not entirely fixes and I still have old software version.

Wow, sorry to hear about your experience. My screen has been working fine since the update, so hopefully you can elevate w/ Lexus Canada and get your issue solved.

What software version do you have now, with the update? And can you explain what happened to cause the problem in the first place? The system updated to bad software version with that bug? Who updated it? Was the system always having this issue since you first bought it?

I'm not sure how to check the software version but will look this week.
My screen had been working just fine since I bought the RX back in early 2021. It started acting up about a week before I was taking it in for an oil change, so I was lucky in that respect.

This unit as been a nightmare. The guy that repaired it replaced the main board, the processor and installed a surge protector (apparently they don't have any form of surge protector by default). I spoke to an audio specialist who chuckled when I mentioned the issue as he has heard from a lot of people experiencing similar problems this generation of lexus, not just the RX either. He believes it's due to a fault in the directional controller pad that controls that nav/main menu causing the whole unit to crash.
A118020 update might help solve my problem now, but its not available online, can only be done at a Lexus dealership for a charge and I'd have to travel 2.5 hours to get to a dealership.
