My 2016 RX350 had a large rock hit the windshield approx two months ago which left a very large star in it. I was blown away by the cost, as it cost $1100 just to have Lexus realign the camera for the safety system. The windshield companies do not have the proper equipment in this area to perform this realignment. That was in addition to the windshield replacement cost. So I ended up placing an insurance claim (comprehensive) as it was north of $2K in total.

 

got my first one when some retread jumped up on the hood, flopped around for a while ten flew off. 4 inch scratch down to primer and a couple of small dents. Afraid to have someone touch it, thinking it might turn out worst than living with it. I see it every time I drive the car. Wheel rash as well but I found a guy that repairs wheel rash - I cannot tell it ever happened.
