Hi,
I am planning to replace rear differential oil for my 2017 RX 350 AWD.
I searched Web for a couple of hours but all I could find was specs for other Toyota vehicles - my best guess was 29 ft-lb for drain plug and 36 ft-lb for fill plug.
Would someone please confirm above torque specs are the same for RX 350?
Thank you very much.
replaced both transfer case and rear differential fluid
I thought it was hard to reach the fill hole of the transfer case. But it actually was easy to open the fill hole. So I changed both fluids at the same time.
At 16K without towing, fluid was relatively OK. I see black gunk on magnets of both drain bolts. Transfer case fluid was in better condition. Rear differential oil was much darker.
autotech13, thanks for the comment.
I am not sure where you got the information. 75W-85 GL-5 is what's on the manual. I guess, both 85 and 90 seem OK, though.
I just replaced the stock RX350 F Sport rear sway bar with Hardrace rear sway bar which made a huge difference. However, I couldn't find the torque specs for the end links and the sway bar bracket. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks.
ft-lbs, it was from a 2002 service manual. The sway bar bracket spec especially will be the same (same size fastener), the end link that is hard to over torque.
