To day i Started the car and the navi screen stayed black! This happened before for a couple of seconds and always rectify itself, but this time it stayen off for 20 min, so drove to the dealer and of course the moment I pull in the screen come alive. WTF? Has anyone experienced this?
No fault codes, dealer told me if it happens again to turn the headlights on-off 5 times as this will mark a spot on the computer and then they can start investigating

Experienced something similar about a month ago. Roughly 10 minutes into a drive, the nav screen just completely blacked out. We tried pushing different buttons; no response. As I was about to pull over to troubleshoot, the screen came back on, and stayed on for the rest of the hour long drive.
It hasn't happened again since that day. During a scheduled maintenance, I mentioned the issue to the svc advisor. He shrugged it off as a computer glitch.
Mine rebooted itself a couple of time and locked with a pink screen once. There is a TSB - L-TCI-3721 for a firmware update which appears to have solved the problem.
Some 2016 Lexus LX 570, RX models, GS models, and LS models equipped with navigation (version less than A1**5570), may exhibit one or more of the following conditions:
Navigation system reboots at times.

How is the customer suppose to know that? I'd like to know what else you can do?

That's what the service Mgr asked me, but no pink screen in my case. My problem occurs upon starting, occasionally the screen doesn't come on and stays black for a couple of seconds and then comes to life, this happened a couple of times, but the latest occurrence was much longer about 30 min, next time it happens I'll try Lilboi's suggestion.

Thanks for the tip. I compared my vehicle's software level against the one offered on the Lexus download site. Turns out mine is up-to-date.
Not sure if it's related or not; but my navigation did behave strangely for a bit. Every time we set a destination, the system ended up navigating to a spot hundreds of miles away. Checking the route overview displayed the correct path and no other set destinations. When I used Destination Assist, however, the rep paused for a while, then asked if I wanted to delete a pre-set destination. After I told her to go ahead and delete it, the navigation was back to normal. I'm wondering if they performed some sort of system reset from their end....
Main display on dash had been working normally until this morning, when it went dead. It's not a NAV system, so it's normally the screen with the main menu controlled by the **** on the center console.
The radio does work, as it can still be controlled by the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel.
Is there a setting to turn the display back on? Anything else you might suggest?
This has happened twice to my NAV screen- it just goes black, but works again after turning the car off. Radio still works and everything when it happens. I imagine it's a software issue.
