2018 RX Best Prices So Far?
Hey everyone. Forgive me, I'm brand new here. Speaking of brand new, my parents will be purchasing a 2018 RX 350 Premium Package later today and I'm trying to find the best deal for them. We live in NYC and the best one I've found so far is being sold for ~$52,000. whereas others similar to it are being sold for ~$55,000. We've yet to negotiate with the dealership yet.
Is this a good deal for where I'm at? Any good incentives going on right now? The only one I'm aware of is the $1,500 Lexus cash for 2018 RX models.

All this comes out to an MSRP of $55,287. Lexus of offering $1,500 cash on 2018 models before the end of October, leaving a price of $53,787. This is price listed on the dealer's site and to contact them to get their selling price, but so far they haven't gotten back to me. I've printed the KBB and Edmunds average pricing to bring to the dealership, with the average selling price being $49,000-$51,000 where I am.
So I'm guessing the KBB/Edmunds range is considered a great deal?
Thank you for the answer. I reached out to the dealership via email to request for an OTD price. This is what he got back to me.
MSRP: $55,390
Discount + Rebates: $5,377
Price After: $50,013
Admin Fee: $385
Sales Tax (Wichita, KS): $3,779.65
OTD: $55,177.85
You're right, that doesn't seem like a very good deal to me. They said that's their best price and won't negotiate because it's their philosophy so I'm just going to write an email back declining their offer politely. Maybe the market will change next month and I can get a better deal by then.

Oh sorry haha. So to start, the RX 350 we are getting is the AWD Premium Package with the 20" 5-spoke premium wheels. Also included is Navigation, the touch-free rear door, power moonroof, heated/ventilated front seats, heated full-leather steering wheel, running boards, mud guards, and towing prep package (a heavy-duty radiator & cooling fan).

Should I continue looking around for a 2018 model year or should I wait until the December to Remember event for a 2019 model year?
So I went to the dealership yesterday and they offered just under $52,000 which I felt wasn't the best deal I could've gotten so I declined and they wouldn't budge. Since I'll probably have to start looking in November/December, I know the $1,500 cash Lexus offers for October would have expired by then. I'm not familiar with other incentives that Lexus offered but I do know of the December to Remember event near the end of the year that has good offers.

this may vary by month and region but I have been told by dealers that Lexus doesn’t allow them to offer more than a specific % off MSRP for every model and I think that % is right around 13 on the RX f sport. Even getting 13% before rebates is super tough. If you can get 15% and you are okay with the trade then you should probably feel pretty good about the deal overall. Also make sure they are not inflating any of the fees to make up for the discount.
im still trying to get a better deal on a 2018 f-sport, dealers seemingly don’t want to let the f-sports go easily, I’m only getting dealers to give 8% off MSRP not including lease/finance cash, gonna head to the dealer and try the walking out method to see if they will budge for 10% prior to rebates. Also does anyone know what dealer costs for write ups/fees on average so I know they aren’t marking it up?

For what its worth my 2 cents, I didn't spend enough time on the test drive and discovered couple of issues and dislikes. This RX is my 3rd Lexus (2014 IS250 FSport & 2017 GX460) also currently have a '17 Highlander Hybrid
1) Engine is noisy. I already removed the Fsport noise generator and replaced with the non-Fsport part thanks to this forum! Engine noise is not as prominent now. I think I can live with it.
2) Tire noise IMO too much and cheapens the car. My '17 GX was super quiet & the '17 Highlander is also much quieter than this RX. Currently reading 75DB with up to 80DB on concrete highways. Highlander is reading 65-70DB. I'm buying a set of Michelins to replace the Bridgetone OEMs and will report back if the tire noise improves.
3) 8-speed transmission is not very good. Didn't read the forums until I already bought the car and noticed the same problems everyone is experiencing (hesitation, 8th gear lugging & droning, gear confusion). 2 service departments told me to give the car 1000 miles to learn my driving habits.

I was trying to get to 14% and the dealer just offered me 13% but I had to do a one pay lease purchase option with that acquisition fee. Pretty much they are milking Lexus of one extra thousand in incentives which is fine + i save on taxes due to the lower first payment (i believe). Never tried this but seems messy to touch my credit and all. Anyway, do yall have any insight to this?

so i've never leased a vehicle before so i have no clue what I am doing. Lol. anyway, looking at the RX, their rates are 3.9% to finance. I don't know what an MSDs. Pretty much the dealer offered me 13% off MSRP effective rate once I pay the lease to own off. If it gets totaled, I assume insurance would pay me since I have the interest in the car still (purchased by then hopefully). I am not doing a traditional lease, it is just a loophole to save on taxes? I don't know that is why I am asking
. It is a one pay lease to own contract...makes no sense to me, but the dealer gets their price, i save on taxes AND get another 1k additional in lexus incentives. I am trying to figure out if there are downsides vs full purchase other than the credit hit. Thanks!
