2018 RX-any info/minor changes/updates?
Was speaking with a Lexus Engineer who works at the RX plant here in Cambridge Ontario. Couldn't get exact details but was told that there will be changes and much needed improvements to the 2018 RX (which is why it is being released later in the year). The vehicle is going to be a carry over, which means no big changes visually, so I'm guessing we could see reduced wind noise, engine drone noise reduced, etc.
LEXUS RX & RX HYBRID: Two years after its introduction, the fourth-generation RX sees several changes for 2018.
Most notably, both Enform Safety Connect* and Enform Service Connect* are now complimentary for the first 10 years of ownership (both were previously offered with a one-year trial). Among its many services, Enform Safety Connect includes a Stolen Vehicle Locator and Emergency Assistance Button (SOS), while Lexus Service Connect allows you to receive maintenance alerts, as well as view a Vehicle Health Report—on this site and the Lexus Drivers mobile app—that shows real-time fuel and engine-oil levels, mileage, and smart key battery status.
Also new for 2018: a darker finish for the 18-inch wheels*, as well as an available Premium Package for the RX Hybrid that includes a power-folding auto-dimming mirrors with memory, premium wood trim, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, a rear armrest with storage box, driver’s seat memory, and steering wheel memory. Plus, the RX 350 now offers the panorama glass roof and Blind-Spot Monitor* with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert* as options. (Note that on the RX Hybrid, the panorama glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, Navigation System*, and Blind-Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are now optional.)

If the Safety connect is free for 10 years, suck for us owners who bought the 16-17 models and keep on paying the annual fee for the service.

Lexus should do the right thing and make the safety and service connect retroactive for the 16 and 17 owners. Only my 2 cents.
According to my source the ‘19 RX 350 will have a new model name and be a mid cycle refresh with a couple new safety technologies. The CD/DVD player may be a thing of the past though. No word about new engines, but the three row may be a ‘20 model depending on market conditions. Look for the ‘19 in showrooms a year from now. I’ll be ordering one for sure.

Same pictures as seen a the beginning of the thread from another site. And on top of that, the site tries to take ownership of the pictures by adding their logo? The is low...
The press release for the 2018 450h describes a Premium Package for the 450h. Is this just a re-packaging of options that are already on the 2017s or are these new options?
