Default Is this good price

In Chicago I am getting a F Sport 2017 RX for $50,500

The sticker on it is $58,750

Is this a good price? I am having hard time figuring out what the incentives are besides the $2500 being offered.

Good if the $2,500 is in addition to your purchase price but not great if it's already included in the $50,500. That $2,500 is cash back from the manufacturer with no pain to the dealer.

The $2500 is paid to you by Lexus, has nothing to do with the dealer.
From my experience, MSRP less 12% to 15% discount less $2500. (plus tax and DMV)
You might get more than 12% from MSRP now because the 2018 RX is out with 7 seats. So many buyers is moving to that direction.

If you are graduate student or military, you can get $1000 or more.

Wasn't seeing this kind of traction in Chicago and this was the color combo we wanted, so well worth the $45 flight down to Dallas. Got a weekend trip out of it and a nice 14 hour ride today to fall in love with the car
Congra, I have the same car, but got it 6 months ago and missed the $2500 from Lexus Cash, dame, dame, dame.

He took it to his manager and wants to make a few hundreds more from me.
I let him know I will call him back, and casted my offer to other dealers in the same area. Got accepted in one hour. hahahaha.

When I compare to what others are paying, it appears to be same amount of discount but you are saying its not a good deal?

Can anyone share what they have paid recently in Chicago for an F Sport 2017?

You should be getting well in excess of 10% off the MSRP on a 2017 BEFORE any cash back deals. The car is a one year old model now.

I agree but the dealer is getting it from a dealer trade and asking for cost to bring the vehicle.

58032 is the sticker.
Asking 50500 which includes the $2500 and cost to bring the vehicle from out of state.

How much more should I negotiate down from here? TIA

I didn't end up purchasing in Chicago for this reason along with the slim pickings, but your quote is about the best I could do from 3 dealers here on a 450h, at least on a percentage basis. I can also confirm that a friend had a nearly identical quote to you on a 350 F Sport from a suburban dealer two weeks ago, and they were not indicating they could budge much more.

Which dealer are you dealing with?

Naper Lexus I feel like I not getting all the incentives I should be.

You can probably squeeze a few more Gs out of that deal. If not, buy a 2018.

I live 2 miles from there and we leased a GX from them last March. That experience was average, but at least got a decent deal and their service department makes up for our sales experience. They were not willing to be competitive enough with this last RX purchase - neither was McGrath, and the one I wanted at Woodfield sold before we could come to a deal. This led me to Sewell down in Dallas.

You are mentioning a $2,500 rebate - if you lease it goes up to $3,500 in our region. We do not have the $750 loyalty incentive like Texas does though.

Depending on your circumstances, it may be worth looking out of state. I got much more traction from those dealers. I know Sewell has a decent bit of 2017s left, and I'm positive they could ship it if you don't want to fly down and drive it back.

Would love to go to Swell but I have a trade which complicates it. Naper used to be good and lately they are too busy trying to recover the cost of their new waiting area which is a downgrade in my opinion

how do you get the pricing from the dealers? do you negotiate over email?

I want to get a buy a rx 350 2017 f sport within two weeks. so far, dealer gave me ( MSRP: $59,039 )
Internet Price with Appointment: $54,039. and 2500 lexus cash.

I counter offered $52K, but he won't deal without going to the dealership.
