Default Got a 2017 F sport on Long Island.

Thx to this forum, i got a 17 F sport for $52K (MSRP 59,299) from Lexus of Smithtown. It was for my father in law.
I talked to Eric from Lexus of Rockville MD, he accepted an $10,000 off the same model two days ago, but my in law doesn't want to drive there and back. plus he wanted running board.
then I went back to Rallye Lexus who had two MSRP $60,xxx with running boards, but one was sold and another was "in the shop for pain repair"
so I called Smithtown yesterday, confirmed they got the car in stock, and he Ok'd $52,000 over the phone after talking to his manager.
went down there and put down a $2000 deposit.

So if you are looking, Rockville MD has a great deal. on a atomic silver with red interior.

BTW, I called Lexus of Alexandria, they wouldn't go down pass $7-8K.
Going rate on long island is about $8000 off.including lexus cash.

Default 2017 Lux in VA

Hey all,

New to the forum and thought I'd say hi. Picked up my new 2017 Luxury on tues from Pohanka Lexus in Chantily, VA. I've bought quite a few new cars and have worked with both difficult and pleasant dealerships. I think I got a great deal and I didn't have to work it hard. A little bit of a disappointment because I usually enjoy the negotiation process. Sales person went to Mngr before I even made an offer and came back with $5,000 discount, I wanted $500 more. She came back with $5,435 discount.... Sold. Looking fwd to a road trip to CT this weekend.

Here's the deal I got:

MSRP $60,415
DISCOUNT $5,435
REBATES $2,300
FINAL $52,680 + tt&r

Has anyone bought their vehicle over the internet? I am seeking a deal, but my local dealership (lexus of new orleans) is giving me a crap discount ($2500 off + lexus cash). I was trying to get closer to 5k off msrp + lexus cash which they didnt budge. I bought off kuni lexus back in the days and had it ship to me, but that was for my IS350. I havent dealt with internet purchase since (10 years ago). If anyone can help or have knowledge regarding this, I would appreciate it as I am looking to purchase a 2017 RX 350 F Sport for my family. Thanks.

I am in the same boat. Did you ever get your car? Where at if so? Any help would be great if you can pass some information along! Thanks.

A while back I kinda decided to get an RX. Don't need another car, but wanted to get something nice for me and my gal.
Gonna be 65 in March, and have saved my money. Live in beautiful Los Gatos (Silicon Valley) CA. Lotsa opportunity here, in case you didn't know.
We drive to Petaluma at least once a month. Love it up there.
Good news: Lexus dropped the price of the RX Hybrids. Local dealerships are offering easy deals on 2018's. Cheaper than left over 2017's. Something like $4K off sticker and $2500 Lexus money. I guess Lexus wants to sell Hybrids... Drove a gorgeous black one at Magnussen in Fremont. Right across the street from Tesla... Gonna find a nice white one and pull the trigger.

Thanks for all the guidance on this thread.

the price between 17 and 18 hybrid is because lexus stripped them down, the 17 rx450 came standard with more options.
i was getting quotes of almost 11k off a loaded 65k rx450 2017 4k off msrp is not great, many many have gotten 12-15% off

Lotsa opportunity here, in case you didn't know ??? i didn't know about your opportunities there, or your beautiful area, please share more.

Good information on the 17 vs 18 strip down. Can you tell me what was removed, or where to find out more? I am new to the RX family.
The $4K off sticker was the 1st discussion; just a response from the Internet sales guy and for 18 models, not end-of-year leftovers.
They had 1 2017 450H left; we drove it. It sold me. I will get a 2108.
As far as opportunity, Silicon Valley is the center of computer technology; there are many jobs and training for those jobs.
I live in a smaller town, kinda on the outskirts of the valley. Less congestion.
Petaluma is north of San Francisco; part of the wine country. I love living in the Bay Area.
I hope this helps.

@JeffKeryk, whats more important that what was "stripped" off the 450h is what you want on your next one. The 2018 are not stripped models, they still have a fair amount of standard equipment. Just go to Lexus.com and build one the way you want it. I found that the 2018 450h's are a better deal, since I don't have to get a vehicle with options I don't care to have. I'm trying to decide between the 450h and the Hylander hybrid. One is luxurious and the other has the extra room I need to haul Home Depot and furniture that my wife likes to buy. Both get the same mileage as well, which is tops for their class.

great point, I knew some options I wanted, and they came with many others I didn't need. My MSRP was over 65k on my 17 rx450 . Looks like I'm not the best at holding back on options

Default New 2017 Rx350 F-sport. Dealer bail out.

Hello everybody. I've been a Toyota fan for decades. Recently sold my 1995 Supra twin turbo. It had 82k original miles and was 99% stock. Anyway just picked up a new 2017 Rx350 F-type. Atomic silver with black interior. AWD, Blind spot, tow package, 12" navigation w/ Mark Levinson audio, cold weather, HUD, triple-beam LED headlights, panorama sun roof, touch free rear door. MSRP w/ $995 added for dealer delivery, processing and handling was $61,474 on the window sticker. Negotiated it down to $57,000 OUT THE DOOR. Sales contract listed the price for the Rx at $53,663. The finance guy was very candid with inside info. He gave me a copy of the invoice which showed the car at $58,073. The dealer holdback was $1,202. Bottom line is I got the car for over $3,000 under what it actually cost the dealer. They lost money on the sale.
I'm not crazy about the f-sport pedals and especially not the footrest. Going to price replacements for them and sell the f-sports when replaced. Will post them where available.

The question is: what are the differences between '17 and '18 models? The 2018 model might have a small increase in price. If there is nothing new feature wise (or nothing interesting), get the 2017 for a best price!!!
