Got a notice this morning for a mandatory over the air software update

Good to know that they can push these out over the air.

 

It was pretty quick and was an Enform update.
Looks like we also got new icons for the apps.

I was having trouble with search and save destination app and was headed to tech specialist, but update came in and fixed problem.

 

I'm wondering why I haven't received an update.

 

Is there a way to manually launch the updater? Mine still hasn't updated.

 

Make sure your phone is connected and the Enform app is running.

 

This was an update for all Toyota and Lexus vehicles with an Enform or "premium" Entune system that can be updated over the air. I updated my wife's Prius Entune with the mandatory update a couple of days ago and the update finished far quicker than any past update. I'm curious about what the update was about but I'm guessing it was something to do with system security on cars that have the Toyota/Lexus Safety Connect (SOS) service.

 

Anyone know if the Scout GPS will be added to 2016 models?

 

Dont hold your breath. Lexus is terrible at allowing new features to work on previous model years' software. So you chances of getting Scout GPS on a 2016 are very slim. Plus, you probably don't want it...there are negative reviews of the Scout GPS app and how it works. I guess they can't make it too good, or no one would get the navigation package.
