Default Lexus Enform updates

In the middle of driving and on the screen it says: Mandatory update required for Lexus Enform. Update now or later. Lexus made me feel like I'm still in school with their choice of words. Also I wish they do automatic updates at 2am like Tesla. #random

Yes. It only took a couple of minutes. Not too bad

I just did the update as well. Hope it makes the connection more stable, though I've been getting less drops since removing the USB cable and charging via the car charger port.

Does the update use your phone's data? How does it get the data stream without phone?

Since it's an update for Enform, I assume it uses your phone's data connection, I didn't see the 'DCIM' logo pop up when mine was downloading.

Downloaded the Enform update to my car and to my iPhone this morning. Listening to Pandora all day with no problems. I also charge my phone via "cigarette lighter" charger.

I didn't see any prompts on the car to update. Is there a way to manually do the enform update from the car?

I'm also able to look up gas prices which maybe an old feature but I never noticed it.

Can someone explain what this new Saved Destination supposed to be? Whats the difference with eDestination? Because i still have both in my car right now. Isn't saved destination supposed to be replacing eDestination? Its kinda confusing

No. eDestination is still used if you send map addresses from Lexusdrivers.com. You would retrieve the addresses as you would normally from Nav menu.

Saved Destination works only with Enform app on your phone. You can retrieve it from Enform suite app in your car but your Enform phone app must be running just like how it works for Pandora, Bing, etc...

It's good and bad. Good because now you don't need to subscribe to eDestination when the trials expires, you now have another way to retrieve addresses. Bad because it's kind of hassle to have to run Enform app on the phone.

Interesting. I did not realize that eDestinations is a subscribed feature.

How do they charge the service on you? What can/cannot be used? For example Pandora?
