I reached out to BeatSonic last month to inquire about the CarPlay product for the RX. They said it would be released in 2-4 months. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
I am removing my mirroring set up and purchased the BeatSonic CarPlay modules, since the Ios13 update rendered my mirroring useless unless
i disconnect and re connect the original unit.
since I have to tear the head unit out again, I figured I might as well redo the setup with actual CarPlay.
i looked long and hard at the Lsailt unit, but, decided to stay with BeatSonic.
i will have the mirroring unit available for sale after it is removed at a good price, if anyone wants it.
I'm sure it will work fine after a power off/on cycle.
i will report on the CarPlay units after install.
Hi all, brand new owner of a 2019 RX 450, had it about two months. Love the car, HATE the navigation. I’ve been trying to figure out which aftermarket CarPlay unit to go with, and honestly I’m a bit overwhelmed. Can anyone spell out the pros/cons of the Grom Vline VL2 vs Lsailt vs Beat-Sonic...and is there anything else I should be looking at? Honestly, I probably care more about just being able to use Waze on my display over anything else. I’d like to be able to use Waze while also listening to my car radio/sat...is that possible with any of them?
I have several shops in the area that will install Grom - which is my preference. After combing through the forums and seeing so many issues with all of these products I’d prefer not to do it myself and have to troubleshoot it myself. $100 for install seems worth it to me in time and aggravation saved.

Thanks in advance!
Not possible with any of them, (to the best of my knowledge)
the systems use the aux input, so audio sources need to come from the phone, radio app, or streaming, or something else.
Beat-Sonic Apple Carplay and Android Auto 4th Gen RX 350 (Nav / Non-Nav)
Hi RX350 owners,
I have a 2016 Non-Nav RX350 and have been very unhappy at how poorly our iphone/android devices integrate with the in car display. Lexus didn't do owners any favors by making the vehicles incredibly hard to upgrade.
I am aware of the discussion of the android box here, experiences seem to be generally positive.
I had been watching Beat-Sonic as they promised to release airplay upgrade options. They recently released a Nav and Non-Nav "Apple Carplay and Android Auto for Select 2013-2019 Lexus Models".
Does anyone here have any insight into using the Beat-Sonic devices or has anyone installed one of these devices?

Just got Beatsonic installed for my 2017 RX350 with Nav and Panoramic View. The car was at the shop for whole day, and the results are far from perfect. At this time I am trying to resolve my concerns with the Installer and Beatsonic, will keep you guys/gals posted.

Hi Milk659, we weren’t contacted on the issues. Please email me or have the installer email me at info@beatsonicusa.com. Leave a number so that we can assist you over the phone. We will give you a ring right back.
Attempting to install Beat-Sonic on my 2019 RX. The instructions sent with the kit do not match but I was able to determine where the newer cables were substituted. The problem I am having now is when I use dip switch settings 1,7 to fill the 12.3 screen the screen flickers. When I change the dip switches to 1,6 the flickering stops but it stops using the entire screen. Anyone get the kit to fill the entire screen with 5 icons on each row without flickering?
