Being offered invoice plus $500 for a '16 RX AWD, however the invoice they quoted me is about $600 more from what I find on Edmonds.com. What sources do you use for determining invoice amounts and do you find them accurate when comparing to the actual invoice? I had jotted down all of the options off of the sticker so I am pretty sure I was comparing apples-to-apples. Your thoughts? Thank you
According to Edmunds.com, the dealer advertising fee is a legitimate cost. Edmunds does not for some reason give us these figures. Sounds to me like you're getting a pretty good deal. Don't let the dealer put any free advertising on your car.
The dealership offered me a free oil change if I let them put it on my car. I told them I want $100 a month. In the end no dealer advertising.

Totally agree on the $100 a month fee. The dealers name comes off my cars the day I buy them.
I for sure don't think you need to pay a dealer advertising fee if you special order one. Isn't advertising part of doing business anyway. They make more on each vehicle than we know. Huge.
I agree having to pay the dealers advertising fee sucks. It is supposed to cover nationwide advertising, and for some strange reason all the fluids in the car including a full tank of gas. I also don't like paying the delivery fee. It is true they make more on a vehicle than we know. At the end of the year there's also some kind of special dealer kick back where they make even more money.
The other thing I hate is having to pay $100 labor fee for a new navigation map update. I am sick of Lexus screwing us for this and the overpriced map updates.
TDA = Toyota Dealer Advertising. This is built right into the invoice and the dealers have no control over this. This fee is very region and vehicle specific, so it will vary.
