RCF Owner - mine took about 5 minutes - no car running, iPhone 6- as soon as I restarted the app on the iPhone it went from pending to active. I do have issues with starting though - seems to only work half the time - anyone else have any issues ? Anyone know what mobile carrier network it's using?
I activated it at 11 PM Pacific and it wasn't active until the next day at 5 PM. I had no idea the first year was free until i read about it on these forums.
I activate enform remotes for people everyday. its weird. it can take 3 minutes or two days. each time is slightly different. the typical procedure is 2, 15 min ignition cycles and it should work fine. ive been keeping track of this actually and its interesting to hear others takes on it
Have anyone has issues where the Enform Remote app get stuck with vehicle pending during the registration and activation process? This going on for weeks already and the technicians don't have a clue how to fix it. I have a 2017 RX350
Yup - happened to me in April and it took multiple calls and re-registering car to finally go live. Problem was pervasive but I thought fixed. Lexus fully aware of the issue - you need to go to another level of call in support. Because of the problem Lexus extended the Enform Remote subscription for an additional year.
Are you using a corporate e-mail address or a "civilian" address?
Strongly recommend using a regular address rather than your work e-mail
because some company sites block and filter incoming messages.
Another hitch in the process involves those that still use AOL.COM as an
e-mail server. Supposedly fixed but it was a no go for quite awhile.
When Lexus changed their software for Enform Remote earlier in 2017, many people experienced problems using the Enform Remote app. The fix seems to be that Lexus needs to do reset your account registration from their end, but phone support people don't seem to be able to do what needs to be done.
After experiencing the same frustrations that others have expressed, I eventually called the tech specialist at a Lexus dealership, and he used the direct contacts available to him to the people who know how to fix the problem, and, within 24 hours, that got the app working properly. Thus, my suggestion would be to contact the dealer's tech specialist and to let him/her work on getting things fixed.
Also note that, once it is fixed, you should be able to get your Enform Remote subscription extended by a full year. Some have been offered the extension without having to request it. Others have gotten the extension only after requesting it.
