Remote start with just the remote!!

You have to press the LOCK button 3 times quickly and HOLD the 3rd press until the lights flash (usually 5-8 seconds), then the car should start. You can't get into the car without it shutting off - it is for remote starting only. If you open any door, you have to press the brake and then the start button, as you normally would to start the car. This prevents anyone from driving away with your car when it's running. I agree that it would be more convenient to have it stay on if you have the key fob with you...

hey guys. i just tried this on my 16 rx350 f sport. the car starts with just the key fob!! press the lock botton 3 times, the 3rd time u hold it for like 3 seconds, the car beeped and car starts. people at the dealership never told me this. so its the same as in my father's 2010 rx350. im not sure if it still works when the lexus enform remote start free trial ends, but i think it will still work. 
I just followed the steps but had to press and hold the 3rd time for around 8 seconds.

EXP_Cougar All you need to shut it off is a single long press of the fob Lock button.
A single short Unlock press will also shut it off and if no doors are actually opened
the car will auto relock in (default) 60 seconds. Made this way so if you inadvertently
unlock without realizing it, it will relock.

So is the keyfob start option something you need to request or is this a standard feature? Is active Enform definitely required? I ask because I am having a custom ordered 2017 RX350 done and if I need to request something for this feature I want to do it now. Tried this on my 2011 RX450h and no go but I don't have active Enform.

My remote start also works with the fob. It states that on the website under key features and the section on technology . See below:
