Remote start with just the remote!!

My previous two RX I had Dromemobile remote starters. When you sent a start command, the car would first lock the doors, then start the car. You could unlock the tailgate, open the tailgate, place packages inside, close, lock the tailgate and the engine would continue to run. Run up to 25 minutes.
With the Enform Remote, you must lock the doors before attempting a start. The engine will stop when any door is unlocked. With both the Enform and *********** remote starting was/is possible with the fob.
Pushing lock three times on the fob probably insures the doors are locked before it starts.

Aloha fellow Lexus RX Owners, I have a 2016 RX 350. Since I live in Honolulu Hawaii we do not have the Enform service offered to us by our dealership. Sure would be nice to have the remote start. I saw and bought one kit from Amazon.com for the 2012 to 2015. Have not installed it yet. Scared it could invalidate factory warranty if installed. Any thoughts? Has anyone heard that this might work? Instructions says would prefer professional installation. Where should I take it to get it installed?

My fob works on my Luxury 4RX but I also have Enform set up.

Ok everyone, I must have imagined that the RX stayed on yesterday because today I cannot duplicate the situation. Now it's acting the way it is for everyone else. I started it with the app and unlocked it with my hand and it turned off. Apologies for the confusion. I've also edited my original post.

Kinda strange as I look at my original window sticker on my 4RX and it does not list remote start but I am sure it is standard now or even Enform could not start the vehicle.

The remote start was an option on my 2012 RX 450h and it worked the same way - press the key fob 3 times and hold on the 3rd for about 8 seconds. My new 2016 RX 450h works the same way, but I also have the Enform subscription and the remote app. The key fob is quick & easier if the vehicle is close by - I can see mine out my office window.

As ghabicht said, I also have to hold the third click down for much longer than 3 seconds.... it seems to be more like 6 or 8 for me as well. And, yes, enform remote is set up.

hey guys. i just tried this on my 16 rx350 f sport. the car starts with just the key fob!! press the lock botton 3 times, the 3rd time u hold it for like 3 seconds, the car beeped and car starts. people at the dealership never told me this. so its the same as in my father's 2010 rx350. im not sure if it still works when the lexus enform remote start free trial ends, but i think it will still work.
