Remote start with just the remote!!

So i got my mini vci cable and was able to successful get techstream working on an old windows 7 laptop.
Tried to connect and found this... remote engine starter not available on my Canadian 2017 Lexus RX 350
Then i went into customization and tried under the keys and got this.... no luck for us hoosers eh? its not even available as an option.

I don't have my adapter yet, i ordered the wifi-version-vxdiag-vcx-nano but have not played with the techstream software yet.
@vic170say, can you share in techstream, how you got to that option screen with the remote start ??

its the same screen JS, look at the title of that window, "customize S601-06"
Canadian RX's might be set up is different than the American ones (probably because of enform). Also, I'm using techstream 15.00.26 (maybe newer?)

not sure the location in techstream you went, but the options look different then where they were posted earlier, folding mirrors and things like that from the screen shots. it could also be the remote start hardware is missing vs disabled.

Then I was messing around with a 2017 Lexus RX and I was able to turn on the remote start it was under other...

I asked if carista can add this feature via their request page with a link to this thread, they just replied today that its been added to their beta and available to test now.

even after turning “ON” that option, I still CAN’T start the engine with the key fob. The remote start with the key fob works fine with the subscription. As soon as I canceled the subscription, it stopped working.
