I'm relieved that I bought a proven 4th Gen RX instead of the new 5th Gen RX. I hear the new 2023 RX500h models are already having transmission issues!

I did the same thing. Bought my 22 just before the new model came out. I learned from a very young age to never buy the first year of a new model.

That is weird. The 500h comes with an 8 speed trans, the 350h has the bullet proof CVT,,,AND the yet to be released 2024 TX 550h comes with a v6 and a CVT. Why would they ever stop using a CVT

You did, and they have not announced when the the TX 550h, which will have the V6 and a CVT. I am waiting for it as I need a larger SUV.Originally Posted by GS4_Fiend
I am glad I got the last V6 engine production also.
Here's another report of a failed 2023 RX after 5 weeks of ownership. Yikes!!

i remember buying a new 1984 Fiero, their first year of production. It was nothing but trouble. After five years of ownership i gave (donated) it away.Originally Posted by islandbeef

The dealer was trying to convince me that a 4 cylinder 2023 was a better engine than a 2021 6 cylinder RX. I bought a 2021 6cylinder

Lexus and Toyota are ditching their bulletproof NA V8s and V6s in favor of new small turbo engines. What could possibly go wrong...LOL
Don't blame them though...blame "save the planet" cult that is getting completely out of control.
