Everything is connected as it should. Just had the panel off.
There is no noise coming from unlock actuation, like as if there's no signal sent to the motor.

Let me sum it up.
1. all electric connectors in place
2. there is only one electric motor in door actuator for Open/Close function
3. electric motor and sensor for Close function work fine
4. there is ZERO response from the system for "hand in the handle" open feature. No whirrs, clicks, nothing.
5. Open works fine off the fob. hence, the said motor is functional
6. hence, the BT connection between the fob and system is fine
7. that means, Open sensor is bad? Or, disconnected during glass install? I have no idea, if there, actually, is dedicated Open sensor in the handle. Glass install was pretty basic, slide out, slide in.
8. it is actually quite common problem, per internet Search.

That brings to a question, asked before. Is there dedicated Open handle sensor, where is it located and how to get to it? As it awfully looks like bad sensor proper.

It could be a bad front door courtesy handle switch or even ECU related. Weird, but something happened during that glass repair it seem.

You are always so helpful carguy75. Is there any diagram that goes to the door handle side. The diagrams you posted cover the motor side.

Thank you. I try to help when I can.

I believe that the diagram I posted covers the door handle unlock button. It is part of the unlock detection for the smart access system which is pin# 8(LSSR) on the wiring harness connector for the motor assembly. So it seems that the LSSR switch just triggers an lock or unlock state based off the security system state(armed or disarmed) when the door handle sensor is activated.

OP, any updates on this? I’m having the same exact issue on my father-in-laws 2013 GS350 with less than 10k miles. The only difference is that it’s on the passenger front side.

I noticed it shortly after getting it back from the body shop to get some work done where the front bumper meets the fender (coincidentally on the passenger side). More specifically, the remote start option was not working, which led me to test out all the doors and hood pin.
